Due to time constraints the format of the pool events has been amended to ensure a quick completion.
8-Ball and 9-Ball will be played at some bar that we all decide on, to ensure that we have at least 2 tables to play on.
Both 8-ball and 9-ball will be played by BCA rules. I will add a link to those rules in the next post.
Trick shots will be performed at my house since bars and pool halls frown on this type of play.
8-Ball Format - Race to 2.
Sinking the 8-ball on the break cannot result in a win or a loss.
If the 8-ball is made on the break then it will be put up on the spot and play will continue.
9-Ball Format - Race to 3.
Sinking the 9-Ball on the break cannot result in a win.
If the 9-ball is made on the break then it will be put up on the spot and play will continue.
To win the game, the 9-ball must be put into a pocket that is declared before shooting the ball.
The 9-ball will not count as a legally pocketed ball if there are other balls on the table and it is the only ball pocketed. This will result in loss of turn. e.g. you can't slop in the 9-ball as the only pocketed ball while there are other balls on the table and keep shooting.
